It all started with an old Minolta at a used camera shop. Once that camera fell into my possession it rarely seemed to leave my hands at all. I would run through rolls of film shooting anything I came across on my father’s ranch in Branson, Colorado. As time went on and I still had a camera dangling from my neck I decided to turn my passion into a career. So I packed up and headed for Denver where I attended the Art Institute of Colorado. I stayed with it even when my car was stolen twice, money was non-existent and photography gear was taken from me.

Thankfully in March of 2004 I walked away with an Associates degree in Photography and began
Kaylinn Gilstrap Photography, making it all worth it. Once out of school I assisted a number of photographers and started up my freelance photography business. I currently reside in the Atlanta area.
